Research And Development Of An Anti-Skew System For Lifting Mechanisms
This article presents the investigation and development of an adaptive anti-skew control system for overhead traveling cranes, conducted as part of the research work at the Department of Automation of Production Processes at Abylkas Saginov Karaganda Technical University. The developed anti-skew system represents a technical solution compliant with Industry 4.0 and Smart Manufacturing concepts, focusing on predictive diagnostics and energy-efficient control. The system researches a novel Correction-by-Deceleration strategy and integrates robust diagnostics, including sensorless methods like motor current analysis,as well as more simple straightforward methods, for increased reliability in harsh industrial environments. The successful development and testing of such control systems provide an essential practical basis for training highly qualified specialists and master's students, enabling them to apply advanced control theory to critical industrial mechanisms, thereby facilitating the retraining and upskilling of technical personnel in line with modern industry requirements.
